An Experimental Study of Effects of Different Substrates on Photocatalytic Activies of Loaded TiO2 Thin Films tract:Uniform and transparent TiO2 thin films on different substrates were made by sol-gel method. The photocatalytic degradation experiment with methyl orange aqueous solution showed:The TiO2 thin film on different substrates had different photocatalytic activities,which was the highest with titanium slice,followed by ceramic,stainless steel,Al slice and glazed ceramic tile,and was the lowest with glass.Moreover,their photocatalytic activities were related to the heating temperature of the substrates.The photocatalytic activity with titanium slice was the highest when the heating temperature was 520 ℃,the photocatalytic activities with ceramic,glazed ceramic tile,stainless steel and glass were the highest when the heating temperature was 580℃,while that with Al slice was the highest when the heating temperature was 460℃.
